A walk along Via Monte Napoleone
Like always, Via Monte Napoleone was bursting with tourists, while I traipsed with constant avoidance of people taking selfies, which is like every other person in this cobblestoned, narrow road. I took photos with no aim or direction, just of store windows with no day-trippers posing in front of it.
In retrospect, looking at all the shots together, I thought of a couple of things: that Chinese tourists are a major market as many stores had dogs for display (inanimate, don't worry), since it’s the year of the dog in Chinese astrology, and that Alessandro Michele’s cheeky retro-chic aesthetic has a definitive influence in contemporary fashion.
